For Charlotte

Today, a senseless tragedy happened in America. A young man, who must have carried more anger than any of us can ever imagine, walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT in search of his mother''s kindergarten classroom. He walked into the room and without saying a word he shot the teacher dead. (his mother was later murdered at a Newtown residence.) He then turned and started shooting the children. In all 26 people, most of them children, were slain before he turned the gun on himself.

A few of the children in that classroom were able to escape. Just a few. Several other adults lost their lives in hopes of saving the children. Many are heroes who were able to quickly move children to safety.

This is Charlotte.

My friend JoAnn (Jo Jo) from high school and her husband Joel lost their precious Charlotte today. Their son Guy has lost his sister. A senseless act with so many broken hearts left behind.

Words cannot express the sadness we feel for the Bacon family. You will forever be in our hearts and prayers.

There are no words to meet this unfathomable, senseless loss. So many mommies, daddies, sisters, brothers, grandparernt living a nightmare...spouses and children who lost a parent. Prayers for your friend and her family, and all who had their loved ones so cruelly taken. Thank you, Jesus, that we don't need to speak for you to hear us.

I am so sorry for your loss, kmargett took the words right out of my mouth, how unimaginable and senseless the loss you are dealing with truly is! You're in my whole families thoughts and prayers as well as all of my friends and their families and many more. I have a daughter the same age, and couldn't even fathom what you're going through but my heart aches greatly for you as well as the other families. She is a beautiful Angel. My condolences...

I have challenged my friends to remember the name of at least one of the victims instead of the murderer. I have chosen to remember Charlotte and I thank you for providing a photo of her. As a parent I grieve with all if the families & hope that faith, family & friends help them through this tragic time. At mass this morning I prayed for all of the victims but said a special prayer for Charlotte & the Bacon family
