A friend of mine is getting ready to start the process to bring another child home. She asked me for before/after pics of my kids. It is amazing the changes that happen to these kids in just a short time home. I wish the emotional healing happened as quickly. Sadly, it takes years to heal the deep wounds caused by trauma and lack of care in the institutions. One must also consider the trauma of being ripped from all they know, moved to the other side of the world and forced to learn a new language and culture outside institutional walls.

Your kids are as beautiful as your and Dean's spirit to adopt and give them a forever home! Great work Leah!
It's amazing how love can transform a life. You guys and God are working a miracle in your kids lives, restoring them to the wonderful little people that they were created to be. The photos are amazing. You would swear they were different children. In a way they are, the difference being love.
GGood work.Loved your blog

They look wonderful. A family that cares, supports, loves, and works hard to allow them to grow and learn will do that for you. Thanks so much for sharing all the A's with us!
they don't even look handicaped ! :)
It is so true. They blossom on the outside quickly, but inside.........they struggle. Noah will be 12 soon. He has been home almost 3 years. Just yesterday he crawled (he doesn't walk yet) into his brothers bed, laid down on his back and started his "crib rocking". :o( Samson came to tell us "Noah is in the bed". We were so surprised, but then not surprised, because he still knows that life better than this life. Your kids are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Thank You for sharing! I could look at those pictures and smile all day! And oh my do I remember when my boys had those "lost" orphanage faces. So sad. (((((((((HUGS)))))))))
