This is why: Bulgaria

This is why families to go Bulgaria to adopt. Children in the U.S., even if they're orphans, will never know this level of suffering. The fact that this suffering is 100% preventable sickens me. In the U.S. this child would be running, talking, and going to school.

Oh, I can so relate! I am from Ukraine and in the Eastern European countries having a child with disability is still considered shameful. Many people will not take such babies home from the hospital, abandoning them. Plus there are no services for the disabled of any age. My family knows this really well since my brother had a genetic mutation that eventually caused his death. My mum had to fight for everything for him. And many families would have just abandoned him at the hospital and he would have been like this poor little girl. Whose name, by the way, translates to "God Given". Irony, isn't it! Seeing videos like that makes me want to scream! The US offers so much more, why can't people everywhere be like that?
