Welcome New Readers!

Wow!!! If you are new here today, you probably found us via the video done by Chris Ulmer from Special Books By Special Kids. Thank you so much for coming to read about us! I guess it's time for me to get this blog moving again. You'll see that I've said that many times over the last couple of years. Needless to say, we are a very busy family and it is difficult for me to find time to write. But, I will try my best! For those long-time readers who are looking for an update on the kids, here you go!!!!! Also, don't forget there will be a documentary set to release in June 2019!

Awww Thank you orreng! I was a sign language interpreter until about 15 years ago. I have always had a special interest in working with kids who have disabilities, and started in the field as a special ed. classroom assistant when I was 18. So, when Angela was born when I was 28, I just felt like my history all made sense. As an interpreter I worked with a lot of kids who were hearing but used ASL as their primary mode of communication.

You all are angels on earth. Started by you and your husband and passed to each adorable child. I work with kids with disabilities. My downs kids are the best. Full of joy, fun and stubbornness! Loved the episode

Your video made me cry for real. I never understood people with disabilities at all until I started watching these Youtube videos. I know it must be hard sometimes and that you might have challenges, but you and your husband are good people, and you should not forget this even for a second. I wish you all the best of luck.

Just want to say that I love the video on SBSK.
You seem to be such an beautiful family!
And I love that you have high expectation fore the kids,
that means that you se their potential..and that will give them a good future!
When I was young, nobody have any expectation on kids with DS..and because of that...the kids didn´t get
any help to thrive and reach their full potential. Now It's much better. And there are much more acceptans in the society. They go to school and have jobs and so on. And we have a theatercompany in this country that really show people that they are abel to do great things and that they have hopes and dreams and skills just like everybody else.
English is not my language but I hope you understand what I wrote :-)
I wish you the best!

I’ve been searching for Roman’s adoption story but can’t seem to find it? Do you have a post about it?
