Angela's MRI results came back. It is unchanged from 2007, which is AWESOME. It doesn't mean things are any better, but it's good that things are not changed! Angela has stenosis on the Internal Carotid Artery and is missing the left A1 and left communicating artery segment. A lot of people are missing those segments, but combine that with stenosis of the internal carotid artery and there is cause for concern because there is no alternative blood flow.
Now to figure out why the gait and speech changes.

Fab news that there is no change!
ReplyDeleteThanks for updating as I (and I am sure others!) was wondering how it had gone xx
Could the lack of hearing aids explain the speech changes? Even so, I suppose that wouldn't do much for explaining her gait. Best wishes in getting it all figured out!
ReplyDelete@r. No, when we got her new hearing aids on her, her speech immediately went back to what it had been with her aids prior. These changes are more recent than that.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that nothing has changed with the MRI! I'm sure you were on pins and needles waiting to hear those results.
ReplyDeleteAny possibility with inner ear trouble? I know when my ears are clogged, I have a horrible time with my gait and am constantly off balance. Just a thought!
Yeah! No change!! (((HUGS)))
